Those folding tiny houses are $2000 each and come with an electrical system (lights, sockets, etc).
Price doesn't include shipping from China. They can fit 12 of them in a 40' container.

I asked them about a 'sample unit' and they said it was same price, $2k.
I found out on another web site that they weigh 8,500 pounds, which is more than I expected. That's a re-think on how to hoist / unfold it.
other info: rated for 7.0 earthquake and 70 MPH winds.
I could be interested in a "group buy" myself, but not in a position financially nor have logistical knowledge to spearhead such an effort.

That's really heavy. About as much as 40 ft conex. I might be interested but not if its 8500.

I'm already double checking the weight. Maybe it's crated / shipping weight?
It's Chinese New Year season, so I'm not bothering them with questions during their holiday.

Everything from China, at this time, has a minimum 25% tariff....

What's the problem with 8500lbs? Just need a larger than usual forklift, plenty of those around. Or a truck mounted crane.

The manufacturer says it's 1100kg so about 2425 pounds. The 8500 figure must be the weight including the shipping container it's in.

I'll go in on one, if we can agree on a model. What kind of container does it come in, 40HC or some special open top one? Do you get to keep the container?

It could probably be delivered with a flatbed and raised with bottle jacks, 4x4 beams, and patience.
More curious about the load-bearing, so as to build a roof on top.
