Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide
#1
For catchment. Instead of bleach. Anybody using it? Anybody know where I can get 35% by the gallon or greater? Thx.

35% H2O2 is highly reactive & has a short shelf life even when stabilized... some of the health food stores here did sell unstabilized 35% a few years back, but by 2019, could not find it.
BTW every concentration over the ʻnormalʻ 3% should be handled as an unstable, potentially explosive chemical....
ETA MSDS for review.... if no can, no can!

8-20% can't be mailed without a hazmat procedure and can only be transported via surface. Higher than 20% can't be mailed at all. Other carriers like UPS can ship up to 35% (domestic only) but the hazmat fee is going to sting.

Don't most people who want to disinfect water in this manner use ozone generators?

Hello, deVinci! Long time no see! I hope you are doing well!

I can't answer your question as I'm not a chemist and it seems you have some answers anyway, but I do wonder why 35% hydrogen peroxide is labeled as "food grade" (I do know the reason, I just disagree with it). Nothing could be further from the truth. It's such a mislabeled product and can only lead some people either to drink it or try to cook with it.
