Check out our House in progress.

Hey Carrie, When we changed the bathroom, the door was never change. Yes that would be what we want. For the door to swing away from the vanity.
Hey Royal, we did consider a pocket door, but
decided against a door all together. Just a matter of preference. We can add a swing door latter if we don't like how it works for us.

Congrats and Good Luck with your new project!!

One question though, The outfit delivering your base course is using a dump body with a 'hydraulic tail gate' this seems to be the first one I've noticed in everyones photos. Are most haulers equipped this way as this would make for better control of spreading material for a new long driveway. Would you mind sharing the name of the folks you used if it is not commonplace to see this piece of equipment.

Thanks Aloha HADave

Might want to look at front door placement - although it centers the door and looks good from outside - you lose usable living room area....... this has been a common complaint in this design...... form vs function...

Hey Dave we used Sanford's Service Center.
965-8144.

Hey Cat This plan is elevated 10' post and pier. The only entrance is the stairs into the
kitchen. the original entrance is now a slider.
for optimal ocean view.

Wow a 10 foot elevation, holy elevator Dude...can't wait to see this foundation framed up! Was 10 feet the max before a continuous perimeter/foundation was required? or just the next size post? ie 4x6, 6x6

Dave 10' was what we had the plan engineered for. Don't know what the limits are. We wanted
the under building area to park the truck and
other uses.

Well today the inspector came out to check out
the piers. All ok. Latter we got all the uprights up. Next we will use a water level to mark the level at which to cut all the uprights. Check out or latest pics of uprights.
