We have a family in a very difficult situation. I don't want to write much but we need some skilled and not so skilled but willing workers for half a day Sunday to get some things done (constructin type) in the home they are building. They have to move in and are nowhere near finished. Dad's health is falling apart and they were doing it themselves. He can bearely move. We mostly need to lay a simple laminate floor in the children't room (to keep them comfortable) and do some tile and plumbing work to get running water to one location (a shower). I know it's a lot to ask, but if ANYONE can spare half a day tomorrow afternoon, phone me 345 8440. They would be embarassed that I am asking so I am not telling them anything. They think hubby and I are coming over alone to do the floor.

Does anyone have the laminate floor laying tool kit, or should I just buy one at Home Depot? I know they aren't expensive but if someone has it laying around... again, thank you.

My very sincere and heartfelt MAHALO to Jim Klyman, Theo Lupien and Jennifer for their strong efforts & accomplishments. Some very important parts were completed and it was a grerat and successful day.
Theo and I will be finishing the girls bedroom floor tomorrow if we an bend and move, and Hazen Kamraus has very generously offered us a day of services on Friday the 15th. If anyone else is available the 15th, feel free to wade in. Just give me a call 345 8440.

I've just arrived back to Mt. View, although my tools are still in route, however I am willing to lend a hand on Friday the 15th. Please post and let me know what you need a hand with and I will make time to help.

I've got just about any tool you could need, and I think I can be there on Friday. What exactly needs to be done? I will bring all the needed tools.

You guys are wonderful! We got most of the floor laid in the girls bedroom and still have plumbing to do (copper pipes indoors). Plumbing is roughed in but we need to get them a workable bathroom.
We could use help laying cement board for tile on the bathroom floor. Part of my vaguery is imcomplete maerials available. I coughed up a hunskie for plumbing supplies alredy. We have to get there and see what we need. Unfrtunaely, I don't know exactly. I have spirit but little construction experience!
Anyway you guys are awesome. Will keep everyone posted. Friday it is!

Looks like Hazen is stuck in Hawi so we won't start new tile work. We will be laying pergo-type flooring, doing woodwork and maybe drywall. Possibly screwing backer board tot he bathroom floor if we have enough. PLEASE phone me that you are coming to help so I can coordinate. Mahalo, Pam 345 8440
