Hey, it takes some muscle to put on a parade! IF you are interested in helping out and want to get involved and meet some local folks....
Stage set up - 4:30 pm Friday Dec. 8 at Luquin's parking lot.
Stage take down 1 pm Dec. 9 same location.
Film - we would like to get 2-3 video digital video cameras running on the parade and crowd.
Vendors - We would like to have a couple people walking the parade route selling parade t-shirts.
Hope you can join in!

Still looking for some parade workers.
There must be a couple or three punawebbers who would like to help out with the parade! Either before, during or after the event.
Give me a call! 965-1555

Mahalo to Kerri and Jim for their help in stage set up. Also a big thank you to Francis and Nick for helping with selling T- Shirts. A lot of "Puna Magic" T-shirts about today.
That was some parade! The highlight was a wedding at the reviewing stand. Quite sweet. I understand that that won the Grand Prize of $300. A little wedding present from Pahoa Village.
Pahoa Elementary won the Youth Entry with a nicely done breakdance with wheelbarrows. Ya had to be there. Definately fit the "Let's WorK Together" theme.
Another great Pahoa Holiday Parade!!!

The Pahoa Christmas Parade was great fun today. I was sorry we were not able to volunteer in some capacity...but hopefully next year the call will go out earlier and we will be there with bells on...literally!
We were able to meet up with neighbors and friends today at the parade and we all enjoyed every moment. It was wonderful the way the rain came for a few moments at the start of the parade...and then the SUN peeked through for the rest of the festivities.
Thanks to all to made this festive morning possible. We bought two t-shirts and realized we should have bought a third for a Christmas gift. Is there anyway to buy another one of these beautiful shirts after the fact?
Thanks again to all who participated in the parade...and to those who made it happen.
Merry Christmas

If any one noticed the COmmunity Band at the Pahoa Band & then later at the Keaau Parade, Many of the memebers also make up a large % of the UH Hilo orchestra, so they were also a practice this afternoon AND the Sound of the Season concert tonight! (and that was another great performance!) It is incredible the talent we have in this area, and their willingness to share.
