Former POTUS wears no mask while seemingly standing in Hawaii restaurant
#51
Two cases out of the entire country’s population and you believe nothing works?

This exemplifies the thought processes that cause a populace to grant overwhelming power to authorities to do major damage to our society.  It's two cases out of 50 people tested at the docks NOT "the entire country's population" as you assumed.  Quite a leap of logic there HOTPE!  LOL  Naturally they are applying lock-downs which we know from experience are less than effective and do incredible damage long after their initial failures.  Just wait.  Patience grasshopper.   Many more "cases" to come.  Guaranz.

Same thing just started happening in Kirabati.  They tripple tested a 100% vaccinated group and let them loose on an island with zero covid.   Keep an eye on that one.

Humans love power in all it's forms.  Those wanting more have found for millennia (read history) that fear is a great way to get it.  Fear, used as a tool, makes the people's brains go soggy and their logic and critical thinking fly out the window.  Think fight or flight. Throw in a good dose of censorship, breathtaking credulity, and heaps of false virtue and cha-ching - more power.

Don't feel bad.  It's always been this way and always will be.  Almost every generation is tested. This is just your time to shine.

Don't feel bad.

I don't.
Have you been to Tonga?  COVID may not spread there as in temperate climates.  Homes are open air, people are outdoors often.
Here's the statistics for COVID, scroll to the bottom if you'd like to see how Pacific Island nations are faring.  Compare the actual cases per million population.

No, I have not been to Tonga.

Click your link and scroll down to:

Global comparison: where are confirmed cases increasing most rapidly?
1) Kirabati  cases just DOUBLED in 3 days
2) Solomon Islands doubled in 6 days
3) Palau doubled in 6 days
4) Samoa doubled in 11 days

I'm pretty sure the climates and lifestyles of these places are reasonably similar to Tonga but I've never been to any of them.  Pacific Island nations are currently in the top four spots on the planet for speed of covid cases outbreak...

Remember Tonga is still in it's infancy.  This all just began with the eruption and if I recall is still cut off from normal communications.  Give them a week or two and click your nifty link again.

Thanks for the link!

Back to the comments about mask wearing in a restaurant, should you, shouldn’t you?  Does dining in public with mouth & nose uncovered spread COVID?
Problem solved with:

the "kosk."

Made by South Korean company Atman, the "kosk" combines the Korean word "ko" (which means "nose") with the word "mask," and is marketed as a mask to wear while eating. Like a reversible jacket or convertible car, the kosk can take on two different looks: a full nose-and-mouth mask when fully spread out, or a thin nose strap with just a quick fold and tuck.

If that doesn’t work, order something you can consume with straw.

Love it! Looks really good!  Heck anything is an upgrade from what former POTUS and FLOTUS were up to in that photo with the staff of the Island Vintage Wine Bar.   Reminds me of  the mask-less dancing at that super spreader event in Martha's Vineyard when Delta was fully raging.   Seems like a pattern...

Fixed your punctuation.
I find the user name in question to be amusingly ironic.

Clearly a couple of anti-science anti-maskers.  Don't you think former POTUS and FLOTUS should provide a good example when they come to Hawaii?  For the children?
