New encampment on Mauna Kea

I haven't been up there but have seen pictures. Yesterday's encampment was very small so am not surprised you didn't notice anything, but it seems to be growing a little bit. From one of the pictures today there's a banner that announces the camp as "OCCUPIED **RCES HAWAII ARMY" and just below it "C.A.*.M.G. - J.A.G.".

I'm not sure if I can post the photos as they aren't mine so won't post them until I get permission, but that's what you can see in them. The asterisks are for letters that can't be seen due to a metal pole in the way.

This is a thread about the new encampment on the Mauna Kea access road, not something that happened in 2020. Do you have the ability and intelligence to stay on-topic and not attempt to derail another thread?

I drove by Mauna Kea Access Road this afternoon.
There are 10-15 cars & trucks parked, and maybe a dozen??? tarp shacks, some leftovers from the previous group.
Bunch of dudes strutting around like guinea fowl in phoney camo army fatigues.

BTW:
With my EV I drove back starting from Kawaihae (with full charge) to Kona, Kona to HPP.  Still have 173 miles on the gauge.  Ran AC, flipped into AWD sport mode to pass a number of ナメクジ on the saddle, the rear seats down and the back of the car loaded with shopping from Costco.

Thats cool HOTPE did you charge in K ? Hoe long did that take ?

Im curious the ratio of charge vs. drive times on the open roads such as we have x cross.

Still don't see anyone going to talk story with them ..Only keyboard rantings. I guess too buzy ? Out of time bc car charging sucks time.

So, I have no real update, but the Center for Maunakea Stewardship (CMS) has been in touch with the group, and law enforcement is aware of the group's presence.

I don't know why EVs are relevant to this thread.
