does anyone knows the regulation about how high you can have a fence without having to get a permit?

Six feet tall on sides and rear. Not sure on the front yard. Might be a bit lower on the front yard or vary by lot size or zoning...

sorry to hear about your stolen tree...boy things are at a new low with plants being taken...i wonder if they end up at the farmers market? maybe you should plant some prickly plants next ie cactus, bouganvillia, euphorbias, various palms, etc.

good luck - its a little discouraging, hopefully you won't have to build walls that are too tall!
