The above is just my opinion based on my own observations and life experience.  It saddens me to see him on what appears to be a somewhat self-destructive path.

Oh please, what complete nonsense. What saddens me is the complete rubbish people have started to post here. What drives me to post here is pointing out the nonsense that some people post. It used to be more of a social thing but most of the people that used to post here have been driven out by idiots who have no sense of reality. Now I'm being told by someone who knows nothing about my situation that I need to talk to a financial advisor and find another job.

There was a time I used to post science results from the telescopes on Mauna Kea but it became tiresome due to the trolls who wanted nothing more than to disrupt the thread. I would start doing that again because people enjoyed that thread and if people want me to do that, I will. But now I'm being told to get another job because some people don't like a contrary opinion.

Now that all the important problems have been solved, the only thing we have left is trash-talking on the forum.

Complete rubbish such as some of your drivel in this thread.  I am not telling you what to do in regards to your job, and linking that to some people not liking a contrary opinion is ludicrous.  HOTPE said your life's work is threatened...I stated what I would do IF I were in your position of my job being threatened. I was in that position 15 years ago.

For the last time...get it through your thick skull...I (and many others) don't care if there are different opinions, even if that opinion is from you.  It's called having a discussion or debate.  And what complete nonsense that 'what drives me to post here is pointing out the nonsense that other people post.'  As you turn a blind eye to the nonsense and/or demeaning retorts you yourself post when it is brought to your attention.

Are you done beating this horse to a bloody pulp now? No one else appears to consider contrary opinions being an issue except you.

It was about a great sunset.

Only ' elepaio or Rob were able to delete it.
Maybe the one that did it will enlighten us.

"why it was deleted?"

Interesting. Three weeks of bruhaha and this is the first time that this question has been asked.

Well, it was asked very early on in the thread. Quick history - there was a thread about nice sunsets. A few people responded with comments and some with their own pictures of sunsets. For whatever reason, the OP (elepaio) deleted the thread. It wasn't Rob as I asked him about it.

Then I posted a thread asking people if they think PW should allow the OP to delete an entire thread. Two people responded, not in an entirely friendly manner and both thought that an OP deleting a thread is just fine. So I deleted that thread as an example of what harm it can do. Now you see the results.

Yep...no harm....just TomK making a mountain out of a molehill.
