Tom, you do realize feet can still get wet in waterproof shoes at least 2 other ways right ?
What do YOU wear when outside up MK in the snow vs. doing sea level ish yardwork ? I figure you might have a unique perspective to share.

Look - if you want your feet to stay dry, buy some wellies. However, given you are a self-proclaimed grandma who has probably received decades of advice and handed out much yourself, surely you can figure out for yourself the solution you want.

Thank you for all your inputs here. I appreciate your effort for responding me. Guess I will consider the rainsuits. Not worried about my feet. I can easily wash it off. But because I dont bring another set of blouse and skirt at work thats why i need rainsuit to cover me all over. Dont want to get soak. Im using scooter btw. Just fun to ride. So, umbrellas wont do.

As an outdoors person, I've also searched for better options than the outer shell jackets that I've tried over the decades. None seem to do the job. In the latest reviews, the Patagonia Torrentshell 3L has garnered top reviews. The Arcteryx is considered good too -- its hood is stiffer than the Torrentshell. I've checked the prices and compared to others, the Torrentshell costs much less than the competition in the $150 - $180 range. As far as I'm concerned, if they truly want to test raingear, they should come to Hilo :-) and we will see if the product truly passes the test.

Have owned a few Patagonia pieces going bay to they first gen Storm Anorak days.
YES on the Torrentshell, have had TWO : ) I like it bc no frills and yea its a surprising fair price considering. Regular sizing nice and trim but suggest at least trying on one size larger if gonna move around in it vs.going to Post Office. Never owned and Arc'teryx yet.
Just for rabbit holeing check out Gil, Henri Lloyd, Grundens from a sailing perspective.haha.
IMO, Helly Hanson Commercial Gear is a great blend for real world, " punakine" use here on Big Island. Practical and durable like us : )
