So I’m sitting on my deck having my morning coffee and enjoying a piece of my wifes banana cream pie. Yes, I have pie for breakfast , and a huge tow truck comes down the street pulling an even larger school bus. To my surprise, the tow truck stops and backs the school bus into my neighbor's lot. I'm thinking that’s strange, maybe they are gonna work on it, get it going and travel around in it. Forty minutes later, the same tow truck comes with another school bus. And another and another. Currently, there are a total of six full size school buses on my neighbors Leilani Estates lot.
So, of course I call the neighbors and ask them what’s the deal with the buses? They straight up told me that they were going to renovate them and make living quarters out of them. Strip out the seats and add bedrooms and kitchenettes and rent them out as B&B’s, on their property.
Judging by the collective outrage of all the neighbors, and the obvious zoning violations, I find it highly unlikely that this is going to happen. They may rent out one or two of the buses in a clandestine manner, but even then there are a lot of eyes on them. The HOA and county are aware of the buses. My real concern is the environmental impacts of having 6 school buses slowly rot on the adjacent property line. And how I once looked out into the rainforest, but now only see a sea of yellow school buses; it makes me sad but mostly Pissed.
Does anyone know of a good real estate attorney? I would like to pursue any possible legal avenues.
