Congratulation's to Terracore for being 'elepiao's new spokes....

I am sure he will be honored to serve in that role for you!

PS

So where is home? You didn't dare divert and ignore my legitimate question now did you?

"Please cherry pick some apropos quotes in this throwback gas thread."

Good suggestion!

EV DOES contain thousands of times more  (4654 iphone 11 ) per tesla 3r.
Thats a pretty selfish level of excess per person. IMO.
So demand is already exceeding supply in 2023 and only gonna get worse. 7 year olds working 12+ hour days in deep, ( craw in ) tunnels with zero safety gear for less than a dollar a day seems enethical to me. Whose gouging who ?

At least here in America they aren't kids and make more than a dollar a day!

Of course we know that EVs deliver their poorest performance in the cold
-------
Couple of points on that, which is generally true.

Tesla engineers developed a thermal management system that began being incorporated into the Model Y in 2020 and is now in all models. This uses a heat pump to circulate fluid and transfer heat to and from the battery packs as needed to regulate temperatures including inside the cabin. As a result, Tesla's suffer much less range drop in cold temperatures than other manufacturers do.

Terracore:
For the Tesla Semi, this might be interesting to you.
The Tesla Semi also uses a heat pump to circulate fluid and transfer heat to and from the battery packs as needed to regulate temperatures including inside the cabin. The battery packs in the Semi actually produce so much heat compared to the cars, that they are essentially running the system backwards from how they do it in the cars. Watch the jay leno drives tesla semi video. Info about the heat transfer system is about 2/3 of the way into it.

They are going to waste all that time and money “investigating”

Time for HECO to make some more Power Point slides!

As an aside as I see the subject of the thread was changed, I believe HELCO HECO the company providing electricity in Hawaii is now simply called Hawaiian Electric. I'm completely convinced it's a change based on providing a better service and has nothing at all to do with improving profits.
