State Owned Car?
#11
I took my reading glasses off to relax for a minute or two after responding in another thread, looked at the site and for a moment I thought the thread title was "State Owned Cat". Fortunately, I put my glasses back on before posting.

LOL!

But somehow, it wouldn’t surprise me if the State does own a cat or two somewhere!

Well, I did think it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Asset forfeiture.

My Nephew is a Detective in Waukasha,Wi. Last time I visited him he was driving a brand new Corvette.
His reward for a big drug bust was he got to drive the drug dealers car for a month. He used it for work.

That sounds dangerous and risky AF Obie. No doubt a drug dealer has afew enemies..Or can send out an order.

That’s a nice fringe benefit! Unfortunately here in Puna, the chances are the busted drug dealers are driving the car they stole from the guy who originally stole it in the first place!

Hey Obie!

I thank your nephew for his service. Was he part of the investigation into that terrible Christmas Parade debacle where the crazed lunatic drove his car into the parade a few years ago?

We lost a very dear family friend that day in that parade.

ALL of the Waukesha Police went thru hell that day.

(Apologies for the off Puna/Hawaii requirement for one quick post)

Yes he was involved and spent a lot of time in court.

He and a partner wrote a grant to investigate online child porn. The two have been involved in hundreds of arrests nationwide.

On his weekends he teaches classes on how to obtain evidence from cell phones.
