What's the ping latency like to 1.1.1.1 and Google.com?

If you're referring to the Mini, IDK, obviously.

If referring to our residential, my stats originally posted in this thread have stayed true. Just tested latency at 60 via the StarLink app, and "verified" via SpeedTest. Not a gamer or face timer so don't know if that's acceptable or not.

Not sure what "1.1.1.1 and Google" means though, sorry.

1.1.1.1 is cloudflare. Cloudflare is commonly used to resolve domain names, so pinging it is considered a good test for latency.

That mini sounds like something I would be interested in for backup internet. I hope it becomes widely available soon.

This is fresh news (to me): "A number of X users, including Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt, revealed on Tuesday afternoon that Jeff Bezos' rocket company, Blue Origin, has filed a comment to the Federal Aviation Administration, indicating that SpaceX's Starship-Super Heavy launches from Cape Canaveral, Florida, should be limited for "environmental scrutiny due to their impact on the local environment and community.

Musk chimed in on Merritt's screenshot of Blue Origin's FAA comment: "An obviously disingenuous response. Not cool of them to try (for the third time) to impede SpaceX's progress by lawfare."

Musk later referred to Bezos' company as "Sue Origin" in reference to lawsuits they filed . He also pointed out that Biden's $42.5 billion dollar rural high speed internet plan hasn't connected a single customer in 3 years. $42.5B is enough money to connect 140 million people to Starlink. (The population of the US is about 330 million).

Blue Origin was founded by Bezos in 2000. Two years later, Musk founded SpaceX, which achieved orbit in 2008. Since then, SpaceX has had hundreds of rocket launches and multiple crewed missions to the International Space Station. Meanwhile, Blue Origin has yet to achieve orbit. Maybe they should hire more engineers than lawyers.

So on this mini, I looked at the specs and don't see anything on upload speeds. ?

I've probably lost track of the bouncing ball, but are you upset that the Biden administration isn't spending money more quickly? Or that Elon Musk hasn't received yet more taxpayer dollars? I'm having a hard time tracking what is supposed to be anger-inducing here.

Who said I was upset? This is a starlink thread and I pasted things the CEO posted.

Biden's $42.5 billion dollar rural high speed internet plan

None of this funding has been disbursed. The application period opens later this year.

As for Starlink, it works great -- until it doesn't. I can't tolerate the periodic interruptions; if others can, well, good for them.

I saw the quotes, but there is a lot of extra statements there as well, which I figured were yours? I just was confused as to the point trying to be made. If there was no point, then I guess I didn't miss anything. :)

Yeah, in trying to figure this out, I looked at the discussion around the process involved. Seems reasonable to review the states' plans IMHO - maybe avoid those hundreds-of-billions in fraud like with the PPP/EIDL loans. Looks like Hawaii is getting $150 million - hopefully some of that makes it way to Puna, where the free market has been slow to lay the fiber.

How often are the interruptions?

If anyone has an update on their starlink speeds I would be grateful.  Speedtest.net makes it pretty easy to get Download, upload, and ping numbers.  Thank you, Mahalo, Aloha.
