Just posting this so it could be searchable in the archives...
Rick (808-982-7581) is the only person I could find who does airgun repairs locally. Zane at Z Sport referred me to him.
Cleared an exceptional jam in my Umarex Komplete. He's in HPP and highly recommended and extremely knowledgable.

I prefer Anschütz for reliability. Sooner or later, air rifles (and pistols, for that matter) jam. Joe, the old owner of the Windward Gun store (in Oahu), would warn his customers what not to do when handling air guns. He must have seen a lot of returns from customers, at least with the stuff that sold for a few hundred of dollars, or less. Joe was MAGA before the prez even coined the term.
How much did Rick charge to do the repair, and did he have to order parts from the manufacturer? Who sells gas cartridges or propellants on the Big Island? Also, who can adjust the rifle for accuracy (best MOA)?

He charges $25/hour. I suggested it should be $50/hour and paid accordingly.
No parts. It was a 6 pellet jam, that would have otherwise needed to be shipped for service to the east coast and back at my cost.
If you are referring to the 80g nitrogen tanks used by the Komplete, I haven’t found any source locally. Mainland online sellers including eBay will sometimes ship. I bought a several year supply. It can use 80g CO2 tanks as well, but there isn’t much cost savings, about 100fps penalty, and the problems of CO2 vs nitrogen.
And I am well aware of why hard core enthusiasts think the Komplete is an expensive TCO absurdity, but it is perfect for my “keeping the pigs from owning our property” from the lanai situation…
Never came across Anschütz in my research. Looks like a fine piece of kit, as they say. Way over my budget, but I can see why you like them!

Had to laugh at that. Been there!
Last year was sitting up on my 10 foot up in the air lanai and saw a very large sow wander out of the jungle about 100 feet away. Cheap, one-pump pellet gun that I use for roosters was close by. Shot it in the hind quarter. It turned its head and looked straight at me with a look of " I will kill you".

These wild boars (my guess) are a very intelligent species. They have the stinkeye stare. Like raccoons, vengeance is in their DNA. If we ever experience an invasion around our home, I'd use large cages to relocate captives. But they could be so smart, they might find their way back to their original habitat.

Why would you release an invasive animal you captured, that's so destructive to the environment, anywhere? I doubt it would be difficult to find some family that would be delighted to turn the pigs into barbeque.
Also note: If you have a bolt or lever action .22 rifle you can get .22 CB Longs that are as quiet as a pellet gun. They're not as accurate as a
quality pellet rifle and have a fairly limited range but are a much cheaper option if you already have the .22 rifle. They can also work in some semi-auto rifles but you have to hold the bolt closed with your thumb and then cycle manually.
