Absolutely beautiful. The site of this home is breathtaking. May you have peace and wonder every day in this home.

And may we all have a great party (potluck) there when it is done!

Hello David and Sophie,
My name is David and I recently met Aimee and Bob through Aimee's myspace page. Aimee has been very kind and has been telling us about all of the great friends she has on the BI and she sent pictures of yall and told me to check out the house on this site. Lookin good. I am a Chiropractor looking at moving over to Pahoa and going into practice with Dr Lozano there. We are planning a visit over for around July of this year. We would love to meet you and see your new home since we will be building eventually and would love any advice. Anyway I just wanted to say hello and I can't wait to come visit.
Have A Blessed and Grateful Day...

All the sheetrock is hung - 111 sheets

But not taped and spackled yet.

Actually, we finished hanging last Friday, but I just got the pics posted today:

Did you hang the rock or have it done? Looks to clean though! Sophie must have been working overtime. What is with the brown rock in #393?

Will you be doing the taping?

Yes Royall, we hung it all ourselves - Sophie, Dale, and I.
Sophie did most of the cleanup as we moved box to box and I waited to take the pics until it was "orderly".

If I can't find someone affordable, them I'll have to tape. I'd like to hire someone to tape and thinset the ProTec, which I think will be easier, just a lot more of it. If I can find someone, then I can get on with more critical tasks like cabinets etc.

What did yo do about cabinet plans?

I've drawn my own. Got 20 sheets of 3/4 birch coming from Trojan on Wednesday. The fun begins!

OK, I've not kept this thread nor the pic link uptodate with progress. But a lot has been done since my last posting, roof trims, some gutters, lots of mudding and taping, painting, trenching, concrete, oh did I mention painting!!!!

Anyway I have posted some almost uptodate photos, beginning page 3 of the web link:

I'm guessing about another 100 days serious work.

Enjoy
