So, you don’t have anything to point at that Yak should feel silly about, but that was the central theme of your post no matter?
You are full of shite Tom. You don’t adhere to scientific methods, you don’t even follow logic as long as to abandon reason suits. You just like to act superior and attack people. That’s it. You’re right and fuck everyone else. Even if you are so full of crap there’s nothing there but unexplainable dark matter.
But to recount, Fiend, who loves those Durians, shared a tidbit posted by a wannabe over on FB, but didn’t include the images referenced in his post. Then Yak followed through with posting the images. Yak never laid any claims to the veracity of the images, just filled in the content to Fiend’s post about some other guy’s post on FB.
Now, on the side, that guy on FB does his followers a disservice by not providing links to his sources. He’s, seemingly, more interested in being the guy everyone says is great than actually doing a great job. And, obviously, sharing links would distract from his greatness. So the pics sorta stand on their own.. with his narrative attached, but no sources. No follow your own and come to your own conclusions. So yeah.. pretty disappointing. But still those pics were like.. OMG run!
So, Fiend posts a few sentences about some modeling, Yak backs that up with the pics in question, and then you attack Fiend, who is obviously not as interested in the details that might have been found had the original wannabe posted links to his source material. But hey, it’s FB, and everyone there is only interested in being the top dog.. and Harry falls right in line..
So now, the storm goes by, the scary images posted prove to be no more than vaporware, and in fact they only come up as broken links anymore. So you attack Yak. Yak, the guy that was trying to help you, me, us see what Fiend was sharing from the wannabe. Sheesh, Yak even included links, if not to the source, at least to explanations of.. but he never owned them never said he believed in them.. nothing. But still you ask him if he feels silly about them.

Get a life Tom.
Unlike you, I don't spend my time typing long-winded, inaccurate, and meaningless posts while blaming others. My apologies for triggering you. You deserve it. In the meantime, will ironyak respond, or are you his/her "spokesperson"?
@TomK - Do I feel silly for telling you to do your own homework? Not at all, as it's clearly needed, even still.
As for the image (it is a single image with a side-by-side comparison of HAFS A & B models), it looks like FB has some timestamp expiration code as part of their image links, but the image is still available - as part of the original public post, and now as an attachment below.
What exactly don't you understand Tom, as the model names, units, initialization date, forecast hour, and source are all clearly given?
You don't read the original post Durian and I were discussing, nor the info given on the image, nor the links I provided, and now demand your hand be held and to be walked through this discussion like an infant, but think others should feel silly? Really? "Get a life" does seems to sum it up, if that's not too many words for you to comprehend.

lol, nah brah, do your own homework - the image has all the info you need if you care to learn more. [...]
Do you feel a bit silly now?
The storm did maintain hurricane strength just beyond longitude 150, so it would have been bad news for us if not for the upper level trough steering it northward.
Without that effect, Kiko could have hit us as a weak hurricane or strong tropical storm, despite the cooler water temperatures near the islands.
Not enough rain! Perhaps more will be coming.

Interestingly, I think you pointed out early on that Harry had said if x and y it would come as Iselle strength.. and equally as interesting all the hopes in a cooler ocean temps weren't as devastating in the final analysis. The storm did, to some extent, fall apart when it hit cooler, and it sure did get disorganized when it came in our proximity, but an older single walled home still wouldn't have liked t..
Live and learn.
Though I'll stick with my.. purely antidotal nonscientific.. the earlier they say it's headed our way the more likely it isn't..
Declaring the "hurricane" as an emergency simply meant that hundreds of State and County workers got some overtime pay, in advance of nothing happening.

Yeah, reached a similar conclusion given the full storm path. Obviously, it did weaken over cooler waters and being hit by a tropical storm is preferable to any category hurricane, but as the oceans have been previously soaking up much of the excess heat from climate change, that barrier of cooler water just ain't what it used to be.
Leaves only one real explanation for Kiko's deviation - THEY have improved on the geo-engineering that Opihikaobob originally identified during Iselle. The state and county workers are probably in on it so they get to pocket that overtime from the impending storm, but then steer the storm away so they don't have to do any actual work. Crafty government employees - always one step ahead in their never-ending plot to fleece leilanidude! ;)
(No longer have access to the full ERSI toolset so forgive the map's simplicity, but thought this cat 3 to cat 4 back-and-forth around 25 deg C water was interesting, along with the several hundred miles it took for the cooler waters/drier air/wind sheer to fully weaken it from hurricane status)
Calling an emergency allows them to engage the National Guard. You of all people should be familiar with that process!

Damn right Ironyak!
The State and County union workers got that slipped into the last union contract negotiation. No one paid attention! The union is very powerful - and the union's ability of steering hurricanes away AFTER they get the Governor and Mayors to declare that emergency to fatten their paychecks while they sit and do nothing is just the tip of the iceberg of their never-ending power!
Seriously however, I can also imagine the "Dude" being the FIRST person bitching and complaining IF the State and Counties DID NOT prepare for any impending storm that does hit us and causes significant damage. But then again, this ain't Texas! Waiting a week or so for emergency help has recently become second nature there!
