Cave relics
Momi, please note:
Hawaiians are 20% of the population of the state, and Hawaiians of your political outlook are far less than that. Demographic trends are not in your favor. Survival dictates moderation or you guys will lose what little remaining sympathy you have. Re-read my last post. Your are completely unwilling to see the positive gestures so many of us have made toward Hawaiian culture. If we don't agree with every aspect of your agenda, then we must be the enemy. So sad.

Meanwhile, more of us are coming. How they are greeted and treated will have a tremendous effect on your future as a Hawaiian. It will be a shame if your are swept away into the recesses of history because you can't handle your own anger. Time is running out. Jared could well be right about your future.

Oh, and by the way, a lot of the people you have come into contact with in your life will lose all respect for the Hawaiian culture as a result. Anyway, I don't have time for a lot more of this. I have to help my neighbors distribute the produce from our community gardening project. That will do a lot more good than trying to argue with you.

This instinct for arguing seems to be a common thread. Very little ability to simply accept an opposing point of view. If something is disagreeable then, by all means, it must, it appears, be disagreed with strenuously.

I haven't noticed anyone especially taking the high ground and merely listen - without using filters designed to find flaws or discrepencies to challange.

In this I would have to conclude our dialog here in Puna is not too different from the general dialog on a national or world stage. That is too bad. I had hoped for a little bit more. My criticism here is generally aimed at everyone.

I guess it is merely human nature.

If we are so "un-teachable" why don't you preach to another choir? Or have you been kicked off of the others? I personally take offense at being called a foreigner. This is the state of Hawaii, not the country so those who move here from the mainland are NOT foreigners. But your agenda here appears to just stir the s**t up and see your name posted. I'm sure you're sitting back just laughing at all the crap you stir up on this site. Rob this is no more of an attack on her as she has attacked the rest of the people on this forum.

Now you can take a shot at me! You’ve done so to everybody else here that don’t agree with your view.

I have never been kicked off of any other website. I will continue here as long as I'm here. If Rob wants to kick me off for stating the facts that the Hawaiian Culture is here and alive and well and respects the bones of the ancestors and I first printed the article so YOU all can be safe. Royal, swearing? that gets you somewhere? Whether you want to look up statistic or not go ahead. It will never end....the saga of our people will go on. If you come here and turn everything into racism you will never make it here. It "is" the way it is. I don't need to swear or put quotation mark on my post and say to someone who hasn't done that (!) is shouting or shoting whatever.

The fact that this is the dialogue on a "National and World" level, proves my validity.

Nah, I already seen them in concert and have all their albums so I don't need to see them in concert.

Geez, when everyone gets on their high horse there's just no getting them off it.

Don't be surprised if this thread just vaporizes soon.

I was hoping to see some learning going on. I don't see any learning by anyone.
