Saw a note somewhere on here that your house was done so I stopped by. You aren't in yet but it looks great. I brought you four each red ti and green ti for house blessing.... aloha! (they are sitting behind your entry stairs.... you can plant them whole or cut them into pieces and get many palnts from them).

Thank you Pam. That was very thoughtful of you to drop off the Ti plants. I think the house looks great too. However, we put on sunglasses before we turn onto our street because of the brightness of the exterior yellow paint. Oh well, it's my own little piece of sunshine in paradise.

Hey Cat, by all means stop by and take a gander. We moved more boxes and small stuff up yesterday. Today is "THE BIG MOVE DAY". We will have most everything in the house by this afternoon. Phone has already been turned on and Cable was placed in the rest of the bedrooms yesterday too. We will be going back and forth from the old place and new home for about a week. Seems someone forgot to mention that it takes Helco 5 to 10 business days to transfer the power from the temp pole to the meter box after they are notified of the final inspection by the planning department. So we will be running extension cords for a week. Minor inconvience. But I'm not going to take cold showers. Thanks for all the kind words and thoughtful suggestions and deeds to everyone here on PunaWeb. We hope you all realize your building dreams in Hawaii soon.
Thanks again,
Chili and brood
ps We can't plant the ti plants Pam dropped off as we don't have the necessary garden tools yet. However, she did lay them in an area that has standing water so we hope they can survive until we can get them in the ground.

Just got back online. Needed my pc up and running to chat with our friends and neighbors here on punaweb. You were right about needing more time in the day Royall. I'm getting too old for this moving from one place to another business. What was needed to plant them was a shovel Pam, which I'll be picking up today in town, along with a weed whacker. This lots grasses have grown to a height of better than three feet since it was cleared. My new neighbors are all out in this beautiful, sunny weather mowing their yards. So I'd better get busy and try to tame my own yard. Much Mahalo

Amen! Is there nothing worse in life than moving? I hate it with a passion. I hate it sooo much that the last time I moved (here from Oahu) I used a moving company! It cost me 3400 dollars to be living out of two suitcases for three weeks because I hate moving so bad..

Beachboy,
If I had the $3400. you paid to move I would have gladly paid it to the movers just to avoid the hassles associated with the whole moving experience. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is my last time going through it. But on the bright side, it's over and done with. Most of the boxes have been unpacked and put away. Curtains and blinds are going up, slowly but consistently, and the yard has been partially tamed via the weed whacker.
Now the reality of home ownership, and all of it's responsibilities sets in. Lots of things to tend to. But with each passing day, it will become less tedious and more of a pleasure to deal with. I think we have truly been blessed by being given this opportunity. Let the good times roll.
