Does it sound like my water pump needs to be check

I flush my toliet and the pumps kicks in over forty times per flushing! I was wondering if the new swimming pool filter & pump was the cause to my electric bill to jump over $100.00 more than the previous month. I only have a twenty gallon tank in garage. But isn't 40 times a bit excessive for a toliet flush?

Your pressure tank ain't working, buddy. Definitely get it checked out. I have a relatively small pressure tank and, at worst, the pump kicks in once per flush.

Sounds like an air bladder leak. Test the pressure with a tire gauge.
