As gas price climb here in Puna & Hilo..

...what are all of you doing to make a difference? I can't allow myself to sit back and hope the prices drop...cause they not gonna drop anytime soon! History has shown gas prices don't drop during vacation time(summer),summer months.

I'm gonna order this, anybody have any other options to save on gas? Not buying gas is not an option either, not in my situation. But I do find this really interesting. I looked it up because Ed Shultz was pushing it on his liberal radio show.

Sounds like snake oil to me.... Remember, people on TV and radio make their living from promoting. They sell them selves to the highest payer. Just change your driving habits and plan your trips will do more than any additive or device you can buy. Just my opinion.

Gas prices have dropped here in Vancouver by about 15cents a litre. That is about an 8% drop. Not a lot, but in the right direction. Hope this filters on down to you guys in Hawaii.

I dunno Beach, it looks a bit pricey. But if what it says is true then a little should go a long way. Check it out and let us know if it works. Gas here in Austin is $3.10 - $3.29. (thanks George) Howzit there?

I do know from my driving days that keeping the correct amount of air in your tires does make a difference. And of course tune ups amd oil changes. Peace, dave

I'd agree that I use very little gas because I don't run out to the store constantly. I do all my errands in any specific area at the same time, which sometimes means waiting to do them.

It's the way my mom operated, to be economical about driving, and it stuck with me. When I was in high school we lived an hour away from town and many times since I've lived that way.

Combining that with my hybrid -- believe it or not, last year I filled up my tank in mid-September and didn't need gas until December. (granted, I don't commute, I didn't do any excursions around the island and that was a record for low gas consumption)

I here what you're saying Royall on all fronts. But I gotta tell you, I already have changed my driving habits. But I need to see better results. Snake Oil, perhaps? But I truly feel that Ed Shultz is always thinking about his listeners best interest.

I'm gonna order a quart or gallon of it myself. That way I will find out first hand if it really works?

I consider this a scam and believe it is taking a product you can buy at any auto parts store for $1.59 (injector/ carb cleaner) and reselling it for 10x the price.

I don't know about Acetone. But I do know this, Ed Shultz show is regional and people in the midwest who have been using it for awhile and swear by it!
