Have you checked any bulletin boards? Folks will post notes there about appliances for sale. Otherwise, you could post that you were looking. Garage sales are another good place for appliances.

Is the Mynah Bird radio show still on in the mornings? That was a good way to find stuff, you could either buy or sell things by talking on the radio. I don't think Mynah Bird himself is still on, but maybe they still have the show?

Akoni, The Myna Bird still has the community board (1020 AM), You may als0 want to try Smith Trading Co. (Smith Appliance) on 21 Pohaku in Hilo (makai of Office Max/Ross) 961-0322. They sell reconditioned appliances.

I listened to a bit of the Mynah Bird radio this AM on my way into Hilo. Mynah Bird himself still does his own show and is a lot of fun to listen to. AkoniV call him up (on air) and tell what you are looking for and leave your number. It's a great free way to get the word out. PS I have some older plastic snap together style gutters. You want them?

Hi Anthony, Have you tried freecycle, it is a cool site, you write a note what you need and if someone has it they email you. Perhaps you might find a washer and dryer. Many on this forum have found doors, windows and all types of things! Good Luck! Mella
