Creepy Pics Of Before & After Meth/Ice Users
#1
I found this page called The Faces Of Meth that has mug shots of men and women before and after they used meth/ice. Some used for as many as 5 years. One user for 2 months. Very scary. Most look like death warmed over.

Someone already addicted probably wouldn't care to see what ice does. But maybe younger kids on the edge might. Because these are government owned (Multnomah County (Portland), Oregon), I do not think that there are any copyright issues involved in using them.

Yup, that woman, 3rd from the bottom, looks like the Bride of Frankenstein.

My husband, who has worked as a drug and alcohol counselor in L.A.'s skid row, is now looking for a job as a counselor on the Big Island. Anyone have any leads for job openings here? There seems to be a need for this type of job.

Ice seems to be a problem on the islands.

I think those pictures should be made into a high quality poster and be it should be posted in every classroom on the island.

Now these are some profoundly ugly pictures. Ugly on several levels, that is. What's with the lesions on their faces? Does meth cause that, or is that a consequence of the rough lifestyle?

It is usually caused by the drug itself. Meth users will pick at themselves a lot of times when they are paranoid. It's known as "bug skin" They think there's something under the skin that isn't really there so they pick at it until something is created. In addition, the body will try to push meth toxins out through the skin, which is usually what creates boils and lesions that get infected. Also, very heavy meth users will actually smell like the chemicals they are using. And don't even get me started on what this stuff can do to the inside of your mouth.

I've known many a person to get taken down by this awful drug. Scary stuff.
