I pulled up the Cosme thread because the weather links in the thread can also be used to follow Flossie since they are on a similar track.

Flossie has now been upgraded to a Category 4 Hurricane and is now 1000 miles South of Hawaii. Here is a link to a news report:

The storm surge may already be affecting the the shore break so Beach goers this weekend should be careful. jm minica, if you are going shore fishing this weekend, watch your back. I don't think I have to tell you that the big ones can be really sneaky.

Right now Flossie is a Cat-4 hurricane. It's supposed to die down a lot before it gets here. What kind of name is Flossie, anyway? Floozie? Oh, yeah, don't taunt the hurricane....

Time is an illusion, but a handy one. Without it, we would not be able to hear sounds, and without that ability, we would have no music.

By the way, even though Flossie is supposed to "pass" to the south and "die down", keep in mind that the rotation of the storm will be causing a "whipping" action to our easterly shores.

So regardless of how this storm hits us...

!!! KAPOHO people, you know what this means, get ready to move to higher ground if necessary!!!

Yes, 8-12 foot waves ON TOP of any storm surge.. just don't forget to take that into account....

Dont think that there is much chance of us not since we are at 11' elevation! ha ha

We are trying to stay calm, focused, be ready, and then pour a glass of wine and wait.

Sweet. Hatches, battened. Wine, poured.
