took about seven seconds up here along the Hamakua coast. No big jolts, but a few things fell off of shelves. Nothing broken, though. Just when I was getting online to check on the hurricane, too!

First one my husband and I have experienced much less a hurricane on the way. It was really freaky. I thought the wind had suddenly picked up from the hurricane and then realized it was an earthquake. It was a BIG rumble here, but that's coming from an earthquake virgin.

Seemed like a slow, gentle shakin here in Ninole. Shed definitely dancing, but no damage.

5.3, down in Kilauea ville...
Time is an illusion, but a handy one. Without it, we would not be able to hear sounds, and without that ability, we would have no music.

Gawd, and I was worried about coquis! Okay, I was on the phone with a very nice lady in Mountain View. I could HEAR everything shaking over the telephone. I offered to call her back, but she hung on the phone. I felt like I was there. Very long earthquake and so powerful I could hear it over the telephone.
Okay, so now I'm spooked. Pele starts spewing in new directions while I am in escrow, I close escrow on Friday, on Monday, the earth shakes, and on Tuesday, Flossie strikes. Courage!

It was even felt in Kona, albeit it was pretty mild. Although it caused me jump up
from my chair.

Well, you haven't experienced a title wave yet... You got nothing to worry about!
5.3... It was a pretty good shaker in HPP knocked a few soda cans off the fridge and seemed to empty the water bowls for the dogs. I was wondering how all the water got on the floor.
Hmmm, Floods, Hurricanes, High Winds, Earthquakes and Lava Flows! Whoohoo! What's next?
