Actually Scott had the longest one hanging...I mean the kite on the longest line. We could barely see the light at night. We thought it was a new star.

True, and Scott's tail was a real attention-catcher, too. But Vince had the highest thread count! For clueless newcomers, though, we took the cake (as my grandmother would say).

Dale's kite was so big, it actually seemed like it was alive. It did NOT want to come back down to the ground.

Gigantic moon illuminated a well placed cloud like an enormous nightlight, then came out from behind the cloud and shone in all its glory.

Beautiful breezes. My suggestion for next time:

1. Remind silly newcomers to get there while there is still light so they can more easily put their kites together!
2. Make it a potluck!
3. Bring spare kites and lights.
