Hey Glen,
We are in a rural area with lots of brush so I am a bit nervous...got the dogs and other important items ready to go just in case. We should do dinner at the Hawaiian BBQ in the Krikorian complex sometime after things calm down a bit. Take-care, Andy

Ooooh, Glen, Tom and Andy all in one place. Wasn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?

Hi Glen,
I'm dragooned in La Mesa, came down for a wedding on the 15th and expected to be home today. As my cousin and I were packing the car this am at 6, a friend called and asked had we seen the news? NO we hadn't and she advised we check the news before we checked out of our room. I thought of you in Oceanside and said a prayer for you then realised we too are stranded. Said another prayer here for us and our family here in SD, we smell the smoke, see the smoke and ashes are floating in the pool, we're in a safe place here. All television statiions are requesting those not in harms way stay put and off the roads and highways, and to stay off of the phone due to emergency heavy traffic, lights We've extended our stay until the have been flickering here, but still holding on. We will head north when the 5 and the 15 are clear. Best wishes your way to you and yours. and take good care. mella l

Glen,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all those who had to flee and who lost everything. Remember things can be replaced people cannot. God Bless

I fell asleep, everything seemed O.K. - the Santa Clarita fire "Buckweed" had simmered down. The phone rang just a few minutes ago (it's 12:30am here), the fire is boiling again. The mobile home park in a nearby canyon is burning. Voluntary evacuation! Wife switched places at the hospital with son-in law, trying to calm our daughter & new granddaughter; while he trys to save what he can.
Need prayers/Good thoughts. Joey |
