8 trillion dollars is the now current sum value of "bailouts" in the US. This is a sum that makes that 700 billion not even a month ago seem pretty quaint.
It is sensible to ask, "where, actually, is all this money coming from?"
To bring it back to Hawaii, where does anyone think the money is going to come from to pay for police, traffic signals--or even basic services? The projected revenue shortfall for Hawaii was 250 million bucks, and that is a surely very out of date number at this point.

Nope....
The money will be going the other direction... from Hawaii to DC, then from DC to the east coast banks, from there to the fat cats pockets and maybe if the fat cats vacation in Hawaii... it might come back....

I know where $12,000.00 came from last April and about the same amount is going to come form this time AGAIN.
But according to the way things are going to CHANGE we haven't seen anything yet.

Somehow the phrase "The Sacking of Rome" comes to mind......

The Sack of Rome was better planned and better managed than what is going now. The Vandals, Visigoths, and Huns knew exactly what they were doing.

The Fern Forest Financial Complex is heavily diversified at the moment, with large holdings especially in U'ala and Kalo. We expect a 300% rate of return in 2008.
Do I get to have "off balance sheet assets" too?

Here is a website where any complaints and solutions can be posted where they might do some good.
http://change.gov/page/s/economy
I for one have written about our financial situation of course from a personal standpoint, (raped) and from the perspective of how we got into this mess (manipulated by the fed. reserve, and rampant unchecked speculation, just look at the price of gas and where it has been in these past 14 months). The Enron game plan for California electricity was the forerunner to this and that plan is being played out in other industries also, and I wonder when food stuffs will enter the game, one of the last necessities of life, besides water in CA.
So time will tell where we go from here, but the more suggestions the better at this point.
