Aloha,
I am Sharlee and my hubby is Darin and we will be bringing our 15 year old daughter, Ariel. We will be headed over for two weeks in March to look at land and such. Can't wait! and plan to move in June or July.
I just got done doing a big post on my blog about the hows and whys of my family and I moving to Hawaii. I will just direct you there if you care to know.

Who are we? Well, we are two people that have determined to not let life live us. We want to live life and have found that difficult to do here in Oregon. I lived on Oahu for four years as a little girl.
After a series of events and whatever-you-call-ems, Hawaii just started calling me home and Dar and Ariel heard it too.
We find ourselves in transition and it being a perfect time to take a leap into the realm of bliss. Darin is by profession an electrician, but has been working with his dad for the last 5 years installing satallites on million dollar RVs. For the last year it has become clear that he was created to be an electrician and that is what he must do if he is to be happy.
I have been a professional mediator for the last eight years and am currently the executive director of Linn-Benton Mediation Services, a non-profit. I love mediation and I am really great at the administration, but my type-A personality would drive me to workaholism that is completely against my value system. The demands of this job are taking me out on nights and weekends as well and has just encroached on our lifestyle to an unacceptable degree. My 15 year old is my last munchkin at home and she needs Mama.
So, we have decided to move to a place that supports our values. Family, people, relationships, community and creativity.
We dream of building our own home. I love building and power tools. Ariel takes after me in that area, so all three of us would be involved in creating our life. She wants wood flooring and I want tile. We will see what happens.
I am excited to get to know everyone over the next few months and look forward to meeting you in March (only two and a half months away and counting!).
Aloha,
Sharlee
