Bad weather on its way.
#11
I awoke about 4:30 this morning on Oahu to rain that was just dumping like never before.

I'm originally from Seattle and have spent a lot of time in Hilo also.

Never in my life have I seen this amount of rain in such a short period of time.

Good luck over there on the Big Island.

It looks like the front is beggining to pass over north kohala as of 5:00 pm. Hold on to your lawn chairs, its coming. Hopefully it dumps lots of snow on the mountain for us to play in.

Glen,
The heavy rains will likely cause the new Southern lava flows to harden. This will cause the lava to be redirected into the channels/ponds, where it will refill the North heading tubes and quickly advance to your house in HPP.

A lotta wind down here, lost power just as Boston legal came on last night! Been raining now and wind died. Rumor has it the system has stalled out over us. But upper HPP Seaside Bob was cloudy but dry at 8AM.

Howled all night up here in Glenwood with heavy rains. Driveway damage and some trees down. We were without power most of the evening because of a tree on powerlines at the highway. Today things have calmed down... light rain only with no measurable wind.

Hope everyone is safe.
And for the record Mark Minica is THE MAN to call for repairs. He is awesome!
