How sad that so many chose to denegrate such a true message as the one Peter started this thread with... The Deja Vu I felt was that of remembering the crucifiction. It must be quite uncomfortable for some of us involved in these sins to be confronted with them in writing. Holier than thou? c'mon- that's not the message he was trying to give us!

Eaxactomento!
T'was only food for thought, on one of the mmmst, days of the year.

Was for reflection, not comparission.

Was for contemplation as we indulge ourselves.

Trying to think of the rest of the planet, not just our ethnocentric selves.

Surely never said I was a monk and not guilty of a couple of them. Well one. #3

Amazing how one with 4 pots , and a few sentences saw more than all those with years of experience and thousands of posts.

Thank you, Weagnat who ever you are.

Welcome Mella, see ya in the Lights

Anger: Yes I get angry, yet shouldn't I at things which I am upset? This is not a sin. I should have anger. I sometimes should get mad. This is human.

Pride: Pride? Do we not all have pride? Shouldn't we? For all we have done. I built my own house with my hands. I go to bed at night proud that I did. I tell people I built my own house, and I am proud. As I should be.
That is pride.

Envy: Envy makes us want what we don't have. Another word for this is drive.

Sloth: Oh yes, sloth. Sleeping in my bed till noon, with my wife. Maybe even lust is here as well. A late morning, my nude wife at my side. Yes, sloth and Lust here together. This some say is a bad thing. I say different. Do you agree?
Don't want to start anything, but want to say what I have to say.
I that is my American dream, so be it. I see none of those as sins. Just who we are. They drive us and with out drive we just are. I'd rather have that than complacency.
My next text will be happier. I promise.
Aloha,
Me

Every little thing gonna be alringht.
Every little thing gonna be alright.

Anger is not healthy for your heart, causes bad stress.

And having built a few houses and other things I find humble mutual enjoment more rewarding then egotistical/pride.
Wonder if that's a youth thing? NOT! saying "you-", just my thoughts on your perspective, ty.
.I don't wanna be no rock star, but I love music too. Don't want fame, fortures will come and go with the flow.

Well Mr. punapetah, your're no messanger and your obtuse misrepresentation just above, in which you accuse a poster who objects to your self-styed pandering of being 'brainwashed,' then curtly turning right around by using the salutation 'Aloha' is mischivous and smacks of downright bad manners. You should take a long vacation. Go to other climes where those who show disrespect to the junta or powers that be are publically beaten, stoned, decapitated, et al, and perhaps you'll be better able to appreciate a government, which, athough not perfect, better approaches a system of applied justice than most.

.
.You can, go if you like, I've been there done that, and it's probaly why I say the things I do. If you miss the message it's ok, some people comprehened it differenltly, And your opinion of me is none of my business. "a smart old man."

I believe I know everthing I need to know about you by your delivery of a basic lack of style coupled with poor syntax Mr. punapetah. Btw, I noticed you neglected to use quotation marks while offering Hilary Cooper's quote in your salutation, "Life is not measured by the numer of breathes we take ..."

Hello Jay,

I guess your post speaks volumes of you as well. It's apparent that you have no viable input as to the subject matter of this thread. Your attempt to address the delivery as opposed to the subject leads one to believe that you, as most of us do, fall in to all categories of the original post.

To imply that just because this Country is better than others in some circumstances therefore relieves it or its inhabitants of any responsibility is a somewhat elitist attitude.

It is my understanding that we, as site members, are suppose to recuse ourselves from attacking and/or critiquing other posters diction and sentence structure.

The poster that posted prior to you at least attempted to justify his participation or roll in the original post.

I find myself in the seven sins category as well, but I'm not coming on here resembling a frustrated child posting the equivalent of "Yeah, but but but America is better than other Countries"... Sorry Jay, in as much as that may not have been your intentions, but that's sure how it came across to me.

This Country and its citizens have a great deal of problems such as those in the original post and more. It's attitudes like yours that will lead to the problems becoming worse. But you go right ahead with your "I don;t have to address reeality cuz he didn;t spell it right or use the correct diction attitude."

Pray thee father that I don't move 2500 miles and half way across the Pacific Ocean just end up living next to Jay Jay or someone like him/her.

Blessings,
dave
