My wife and I are moving to HPP and are very interested in the schools there. We have looked on Punaweb but most of the discussions are related to High Schools. Any info on elementary schools in the area? Any info on private schools? Christian schools? I would love your help in answering our questions. Thanks

MONTESSORI COUNTRY SCHOOL, PO BOX 1203, 15-3006 PUNA RD 808-965-9994.
Living Waters Christian, Kua'o Ka La Charter School in Pahoa and Cindy Greenlaw's School in HPP near Makuu and 21st. have also been mentioned in previous posts (there is also the Kamehameha school campus in Keaau, but registration is limited)

Charter Schools is the ticket here in Puna, Fortunately HPP has two of them at the Elementary school level! The public school in Keaau can be a rude awakening for the family that just moved here from the mainland.
Good luck in finding a school![
