Plant Quiz
#1
I have a bush that has pointy leaves with green on top and purple under with large pom-pom like clusters of thin long stemmed small pink flowers. Seems to be a common shrub seen along 130. Anyone know its name? (we need a picture function on here[Sad]

Interesting and very pretty. Is there a fragrance to the blooms?

I have mine planted in a container. So if invasive, that may be the way to go. It seems quite happy in a cedar box that is about 18"x18" and about 24" tall. Have to keep it watered or it will wilt.

We have half a dozen mature clerodendrum on our property, and they seem to be less invasive that we were led to expect. They do reproduce by both suckers and seeds, but we just yank up the unwanted ones, giving some away to friends and neighbors with a mild warning. They are not coming up all over the place. Most of ours are planted in deep cracks in the lava rock, so maybe that inhibits suckering. The clerodendrum certainly are far less prevalent than the weeds with wind-blown seeds.

Cheers,
Jerry
