There was a house for sale in Hawaiiinformation website which has gravity fed water, and the catchment tank looked like it was on higher ground than of the house. Has anyonw try this method or know how it works.

What I got from the thread is that it is possible, but it would be impractible to build a system that would produce sufficient pressure to satisfy most people.

You get roughly one half PSI per foot of drop and most folks like to have twenty to thirty PSI water pressure.
