Wow!
Thank you for sharing the amazing photos!
Glen, I really didn't know there were any bunnies on the island. I seen to have the same kind of heat sensitivity they do, over about 1800 degrees, I'm done. [Wink] I hope they stay safe. I think your house must have a charm on it though, I have centipedes in my yard, and you get bunnies.

Cheers,

First we get a huge, picturesque flow to the sea. A road is built, then they put some bleachers out in the sun (Just Like in Highway 61!).....a blessing is about to take place. But then the Eastern lobe cutting through Royal Gardens goes across the new road. Then the flow stops altogether.

Fitful. Very fitful. This is going to be interesting.

I don't even want to know how much county money was spent in the last week [xx(]

The cost of the perhaps now useless viewing area and road improvement will probably appear in one of the discretionary categories of the county budget. Any time anybody builds anything in these parts, you have to consider that Pele may have other plans for the project. I don't begrudge the effort to make a safe viewing place. Who knows, it may yet have some use.

Meanwhile, all this begs the question of where the lava will go next.

Cheers,
Jerry

Does that mean Loihi is gaining weight??? As long as they are micro earthquakes only.... Loihi could bump up a quick response tsunami....

Glen, Highway 61 is on my top favorite song lists of all time ... thanks for the smile.

Pele say, "You can do what you want Harry, but
The next time you see me comin' you better run ... [}Smile]

Loihi has been experiencing small quakes as long as I've been here paying attention, which is several years, so I think this quake is normal enough. The elevated S0 2 levels are unusual, not to mention the new fissures.
