I would love to be a fly on the wall if they go into executive session again at one of these Public Hearings

Three 6 p.m. hearings will be held. The days and locations are:

Tuesday, Hilo council room on the 2nd floor of the Ben Franklin Building at 333 Kilauea Ave. in Hilo;
*EDIT* WHY Doesn't the Tribune state which Tuesday in Hilo, Mar. 25th or April 1?*EDIT*

Monday, April 7, W.M. Keck Observatory, 65-1120 Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea;

Thursday, April 17, Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa, 78-129 Ehukai St. Kailua-Kona.

I read that Dr. W was at the meeting last night and held his ground.

I also see that 14 of the 23 people who testified were not in favor.

I'm wondering besides the names of the couple from Connecticut that were mentioned in the article who the other people were that testified in favor of WTE?

I see now that some PUNA meetings have been added to the schedule:

April 15 at the Pahoa Community Center
&
April 18 at the Pahala Community Center

Once again I hear Dr W ranting about a major US corporation being somehow disrespectful, and not caring about what their process will do to the Aina! Just like the PGeothermalV cheif who DR W says doesn't know his own plant operation!
UH Profs have done so much damage to BI already!

If I used the term "aina" I would like to see the exact quote.

The "disrespect" that Wheelabrator and its parent company, Waste Management, Inc., have shown is disrespect for the LAW with repeated convictions, adverse civil judgments, violations of permit requirments, and on and on.

Just to keep you entertained, gtill, I'll remind you that the issue with the PGV manager (not "chief", as you said) is that he claimed not to know his unit cost of production -- which, for any for-profit venture, is essential.

For better or worse, I am not a UH prof.

What's with you and your bitterness about "UH profs"?
Did you flunk out of UH?

Dr W. Your statments against both companies, and your assertations that those representing those companies are somehow underhanded and not trustworthy, are not backed by anything of substance! PGA, in the last 5 years has caused no problems, and has been the most reliable power source of all, but at a public hearing the plant Mgr. didn't have the exact specs of the last years emissions, that made him a slacker!

Same thing the Wheelabrator rep at a public hearing, I want the whole works on your survey now, or your entire presentation is bogus! What kind of crap is that? We heard from people who took the survey, it was done fairly by their experience, Is the poll sampling method the only thing you can say against? I personally have done a lot of business with Wheelabrator Companies! (Surface prep), and their Hazmat experience, expertise and equipment is top rate!

My problem with Prof's is they put that placard out, and everybody go's OOh! Doctor! With good size grant help, you are going to begin production of an entire new agriculture enterprise in exactly 2012, and you have to ask about African Snails?

Sorry GT -

Everything you say now will be tainted with the fact that you do business with them.[Wink]

You obviously have a vested interest in Wheelabrator for financial reasons.[V]

So by your analogy, everyone with an American Savings Bank account that gets interest is evil and profiteering at the expense of the poor soles that have to pay higher electric rates. Wouldn't that be the exact thing you’re saying?

Do you really have that low a regard for people that you must find some type of hidden conspiracy agenda in everyone's opinions?

By the way, I have stock in Waste Management and I oppose the incinerator.

Apples and Oranges Bob.

GT - is open about his "Business" that he conducts with Wheelabrator.

I'm assuming because you posted it...that ASB has something to do with higher electric rates.

I'm glad your opposed to the Wheelabrator.

I wish Waste Management wouldn't have anything to do with WTE but they do.

However, much of their other stuff I do believe in.

AND NO I DON'T Hold GT in low regards. I just need to re-evaluate things he says with the Wheelabrator debates we've been having.
