I know there are other threads on this, but my Fiancee' and Myself felt compeled to hear it for ourselves since we are moving soon.
We are a young couple moving to HSRE in 3-4 months (Pet's and business willing) and we're interested in everything the volcano has been doing recently. All our friends over there say it's exciting and nothing to get worried over, but I guess it's not the idea of impending doom from the lava that has us talking, it's the idea of potentially very common vog. I know there are the trade winds, so why all the Vog now? Does it have something to do with the time of year and a temporary wind shift, or does more sulfer dioxide in the air mean more coming punas' way? Period.?
I'd be really interested to hear some of your take on the current situation. Does anyone have a feeling this is something that we will have to get use to, or do you fell something will give and relieve this "pressure"?
There's nothing more I look forward to than being able to wake up each and every morning on the big island, smell the fresh air and go about my normal day, and coming from a city with some of the worst pollution in the U.S. nothing scares me more than the idea of that not changing once we make the move.
Thanks for the feedback.
Tim
