anyone ever try Pacific Homes?

I checked Pacific Homes' site and they have no mention of Hawaii on their list of places where they do business. Do you know anything different? Please limit postings on this thread to businesses that have a representative here on the Big Island or explicitly state that they do business here.

With this thread I am trying to pool the research done by people who want to build a package or kit home in Hawaii. Specifically links to websites of companies who sell home packages to Big Island residents. Because of shipping costs and Hawaii specific code issues much of what is available on the mainland just isn't available here, so we are all searching for fewer needles in a really big haystack. If we can collect our research in one spot it will save everyone tons of time. Come on folks, share those links!

Pacific Homes will gladly ship to Hawaii. Its a first class company.
Thats why i inquired about others that might have done business with then on our Big Island. I know of one on Oahu that have had a home built from them.

Does anyone have any experience with Bamboo homes? Are they a viable option for South Point? Also, how does bamboo stand up to termites, weather etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated...THANKS!
