Daniel, I have a question. What are you on the ballot for, which position, and is HPP divided into more than one district?

Mella, HPP has several districts and when you get on the ballot you are running for board membership. If you make it, the BOD will have an organizational meeting and will elect the officers and the directors.

Aloha Mella I,
I am on the ballot for Board of directors. Yes there are several districts in HPP, each with its own board member representative. There are only two candidates in my district. You can only vote for the candidates in the district that you own land in.

Daniel, I can't vote for you, but thank you for taking a proactive stance- instead of just pissing and moaning about the status quo like so many others.

Having attended some of those meetings and met Daniel, I can tell you that he is thoughtful and reasonable. If I lived in his district, I would not hesitate to vote for him. Those of you who do live in his district should.
Cheers,
Jerry

Yes, I too would vote for Daniel if I were in that area. I know Daniel Diamond personally and you won't find a finer young man. If you want someone who cares, is intelligent, and will try his best to do the right thing, then Daniel is your man.

Daniel,
I am outside of your district, but I have a friend who is in your district and will make sure she knows about your candidacy. I will ply her with passionfruit margaritas to get her to vote for you.

Daniel good luck! I almost threw my hat into the circle. After kicking around the idea of becoming a board member too. Then I started to do my own investigation on this position, and decided to opt out. My understanding of this position is one I don't need at this time in my life. HPP's BOD are constantly being yelled at by residents of HPP. Once you become a board member, residents feel they have the right to scream at you! I don't need clueless stranger yelling at me...I could very well put them in a choke hold..and I don't wanna do that at all!
Daniel, have you asked yourself why these position seem to stay empty? Seems to me there are plenty out there like me. Wanna see things done, but don't wanna be screamedat my an HPP resident for something completely out of your control(for instance annual road fees). If you don't think this will be a powder keg down the road...take another look. 4 roads paved for 12 million?!?! Desolve the useless HUI and turn the roads over to the county!!!!
