Gas is cheaper on the Big Island then Oahu!
#1
I can't believe I'm actually saying this.

Because of the traffic patterns I have been facing here in Puna and the Big Island this past week, my car has actually gotten 85 miles MORE per fill-up compared to Oahu.

With all the stop and go traffic, all the idle time, etc. Gas just flew out of my car on Oahu.

I'm simply amazed at the mileage that I'm receiving over here.

Yes, it cost about $2.00 more to fill it up.... but I'll take that extra 85 miles at $2.00.![Smile]

Another weird one:
Gas is cheaper in Ocean View than in Kona.
Over $4.00 a gal in Kona, under $4.00 in ocean view

Thats great because most likely you'll need it for:
price gouging Helco[xx(]
price gouging grocery stores[Sad!]
and the latest price gougers airlines[:0]

But I'm glad your home with your family perhaps will meet at school.[Smile]

Damon, where are you getting your gas? Orchidland is over $4.00 a gallon of supreme. A gallon of supreme at the Cheveron on Kapahulu is $3.97.

It's not the price per gallon that I'm saving... it's the Mileage per gallon.... and that is what is equating to the savings....

Yes, I do have to travel farther.... But, I'm still tripping on my fuel "Savings per mile".

P.S. Was typically picking up my gas in Mapunapuna or off Nimitz...(real close to the refineries)

P.S. Alaska still is topping the Nation in Average Gas price per Gallon.

I just checked that site. The listed prices are the same as here in S. Fla. I paid $375.9 at BJs yesterday but the prices at the other stations matched those posted on that site for Hilo. I'm not sure what that means. Is Hilo's prices getting more in line with the maineland or am I just getting screwed worse in S. Fl?
