I'm also curious about how the overheat relief valve popped when your tank is downstairs. Also, any second thoughts about design or choices now you have experience?

The pop off valve is located on the roof with the panels.

Actually, I was going to ask you guys (R&M) .... How did the rebate process work? ie, was it easy & or did you have to fill out a bundle of forms & wait a while? Did you check out some/most/all of the contractors on list? .... OOOHHH the questions....
(didn't mean for the seagull to skip my brain... but I actually remembered that from the WAAAYYY back..... & the memory file usurped my current thought process - such that it is these days....)

Seriously,Wyatt, how often do you have to climb on the roof? I assume, only in emergency?(Because i weight a lot of bunnies and flying is not an option...)

We just built our own recently. We used some old panels off of a house we remodeled, a 120 gallon well pressure tank, and a grundfos circulator pump that has a temp. control. It is adjustable between 95 and 150 degrees. If it gets to cold, which it hasnt yet, we can turn a couple of valves and use our Paloma. It has worked great and the water comes out at about 130 degrees.
