Masked Men Home Invasion
#11
Crizzy, just to correct the quote... the Homeless are constantantly "being burgled", esp. by punks who like to rough them up a bit, too - they only have no home to get "invaded", but their few possessions are often taken....

There is no true 'fail safe' way of avoiding those that want either what you have, or are just out to "mess around".... It seems that belonging tothe animal world puts us in line for this, something that the animal world is full of, those that take...

Yes, but in the animal world they give no mercy on those who would take from you or "mess with you".
But being so much better informed than the animals, we open ourselves up to the whims of those who would terrorize us, assuring him he won't be hurt if he robs you or whatever. They don't need a pack anymore as the Alpha male has been disarmed, get used to it.

From my dealings with rippers, see my website www.hawaiianhighlands.com, be wary of "Greeks baring gifts." One way a person can gain access to your property is to act nice and welcoming to you at the same time casing your place. Spooky when someone comes under the guise of "aloha" and baring food only to return at a later date when you are gone. I was wondering why my dogs who bark at everything, would not bark at this new guy who kept visiting my place unannounced and uninvited. My husband and I finally figured out that rippers will feed your dogs treats to get the dogs to like them. When the rippers return to steal from you, your dogs get excited because they anticipate treats from them.

Tbear was correct in his statement “He who is homeless does not get burgled.” Homeowners and the homeless can both become victims; however only homeowners can be burgled. Here are some definitions:

Burglary: “The crime of breaking into and entering a building with the intention to commit a felony. The breaking and entering need not be by force, and the felony need not be theft. For instance, someone would be guilty of burglary if he entered a house through an unlocked door in order to commit a murder” (www.nolo.com).

Robbery: “is the crime of seizing property through violence or intimidation. More precisely, at common law, robbery was defined as taking the property of another, with the intent to permanently deprive the person of that property, by means of force or fear” (www.wikipedia.com).

Thanks for all your input, everyone! Great discussion, sounds like there are a few like-minded people in Puna who understand that our society is changing and we must adapt if we are to overcome.

The link includes a comma in the href. It'll work if you click the link, then take the comma out of the URL that comes up in your browser Smile

Actually.... I compile a link of blogs that I check daily.

Since Crizzy is a big island blogger... her blog is one that I check daily.

Outside of punaweb it wasn't working. Looks more like she may need to pay a little dinero to her server host site.

The reason my website was down for the past week was b/c I shut it down out of fear. My first amendment rights are being challenged. Even thought I write under a pen name, there are people in the community that continue to discriminate against law abiding citizens who happen to have a certain type of permit.

I'll keep blogging for a little while longer. At least you'll be able to keep up with my fight against discrimination by reading my blog. Please email or write a comment at the website. It would sure cheer me up. Mahalo for your support.

Wow... this really deserves a whole new thread of it's own!

Would you care to expand on this?

There are SO MANY BLOGS out there regarding Growing Marijuana.

I haven't seen anything on your site that would warrant you being in violation of any rights.
