I am just so darned excited...
I have two friends helping me with stuff around the ranch. After over a week of hard work and interruptions and rain and... and... and... all their hard work has paid off. I have a Hen House with two compartments. One is for the Rhode Island Reds and RIR roosters to breed and lay; the larger portion is for the egg laying for gathering ... wooo hoooo! They are so cool. Give me a few hours and I will post photos on the www.freewebs.com/punachat site.... The nests are absolutely inspired.
Not only did I get my first egg an hour after the nice nesting boxes were installed BUT there are no chickens on my lanai or in the garage. Well, okay, two roosing hens in the garage... but I think we can actually de-poop effectively! Life is good!
Now for stringing fence to get the sheep on the other side... away from my house! Then we can replant all the stuff they and the goats ate... man it never ends but I LOVE PUNA and wouldn't have it any other way.
By the way, the baby lambs are doing great and it looks like we have a mom about to drop another one or two in the next 48 hours... she is showing all the signs! Wow...
Baked fresh bread today, having lettuce from our garden with dinner.. is this the life? YEA!
Okay, it's just a rave about life here but you gotta do that sometimes.
Aloha, Pam

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says
"Oh Crap, She's up!"
