Goes to show, you just never know what some people might put on display.
I wonder, does one get 'cursed' for taking dirt from the islands same as sand, rocks, or coral? ;-)
Thanks for the 'scoop' Damon :-)

To the guy that emailed me the following:
You appear to have had some experience of folks objecting to information-sharing posts with article links? Why do they object to this? They can always skip the thread if it is not of interest to them....
people may be reading these posts seeking info months or years after we make them, so better a surplus of information (in the opinion of some, who can skip over it) than the info becoming completely unavailable, IMHO....BTW, the link to your homepage from your Punaweb profile page appears to be inactive.
I feel that only the pertinent thing of what I need to post is needed.
I do understand your argument that I should post the whole thing because the link might be down in the future...
However, common courtesy on message boards is to just quote a small part of the article and then link to it from there.
Mahalo for the support and I'm glad you find my links interesting.
I'll fix the link on my homepage when I figure out which blog I feel like going with. [^]

I don't hate it when you post news items. I for one appreciate it. There are plenty of times that I miss stuff happening locally that was glad when someone posted it on here.

Damon,
The only thing I dont like is the fact you only post stuff that benefits YOU [
]
Like where was the news link to the Wheel of Fortune Tryouts.... LOL
Yep Yep... Thats right, You didnt post it for us... Only after the fact you asked "Who else got selected to the tryouts?"
Why?? because it would of hurt your (Damon) chances of getting on the show... and because of these things I find it hard to believe/trust most of your topics as you (mostly) come across very self centered. I think you only post news that benefits you... [
]
No worries Though... its all good.. I forgive ya [8D]

Is Hilo the only place with dirt named after itself? I would think Puna dirt would be an entirely different sort of dirt than Hilo dirt.
There is loads of information on the assorted dirts we have at the USDA site, I think it was. More info on dirt than I knew people could write, but I like the way the Smithsonian has actual big samples of dirt so you can look at them side by side.
