New Punaweb Posting Policy
#1
I have decided to put a limit on the number of posts a member may place in one day.

The limit is five.

I think this is both practical and needed. I know that, near as I can tell, it affects one person primarily but it will be good for you to operate with a limit and value your posts. Don't take it personally. It's not a slap, just a policy. If it wasn't you Damon it would be someone else.

Some practical points:

I am not going to take my time to count and monitor everyone's daily posts. I have other things to do.

I am not wanting anyone to play post count cop. If someone thinks I'm missing it email me privately.

I will arbitrarily reduce the topic count of everyone to show no more than a 5 per day average. That is where I can tell what is happening.

I am not going to be concerned if some individuals exceed once in a while. As much as possible I want this to be self monitoring.

Notice will soon be posted at the heading of the forum page.

Anyone wanting to discuss this or suggest modifications can email me privately.

I do value everyone's participation.

**raises hand**

how do we know when we have hit the limited number of posts?

kani-lehua, If you don't know and I don't notice I'm betting someone else probably will.
But I'm not going to invite vigilante post counters. I'm hoping I don't uncork more problems
that I might solve.

I like the policy [Big Grin]

Now everyone quit making such tempting questions [Wink]

My blog will be starting up soon enough, so I may be heading out of here anyhow.

I too get sick of people thinking that my posts are offensive. But that's ok...

I get more then enough positive daily emails to balance out the negatives.

Thanks to those that have supported me. [^]

I support you Damon. You have a passion and talent for internet research.

You do your own blog and I will read it for sure.

I second what Rob said. Damon has found a lot of interesting and thought provoking articles. Some of which I used on my blog. I will certainly read Damon's blog also. I wish him good luck also.

Is not there a difference between a "Post" and a "Reply"?

You already have Willpahoa for that)):
He works for free..

P.S.That's very common Confusedomeone abuses the rules, the rest are paying the price.
I totally agree on the general forum, but building and gardening?
To-day I received the e-mail from my builder about the differeent solar water heaters ,allegedly cheaper and more effective than Solahart. So I don't want to exceed the number of posts, but I might needed to respond ...

I don't remember anyone abusing the space in the those forums.
But I will respect your decision,Rob.
Thank you for this forum.

Note: I am very grateful for all the replies and will be thanking people by e-mail.
