I've had a very similar airless sprayer by Wagner and just gave it away to friend rather than pack it in the container. Aside from the continual motor operation while in use vs. running only during the actual spray interval, hoppers are a pain to clean and keep clear of debris, the diaphragms often fail, use of the strainer bag is a pain, messy messy, etc.
I'd go with a Graco model from Home Depot that doesn't use the hopper but rather the suction tube. That's what I'm replacing mine with.

The Graco Magnum X5 would be good for the average project pump.
I may go a Bit bigger for myself, but the X5 would be a great pump for occasional use.

I just looked up that Wagner Paint Crew...
Wow... nope, that's not even remotely close to what I had, mine was a semi professional Wagner model. That Paint Crew model is a gimmick garbage pump. Spend the extra $100-$150 and get the Graco X5, you'll be extremely satisfied with it.

E ho'a'o no i pau kuhihewa.

I've got one of those sprayers. It's works good for what it was designed for ie small jobs or situations where you don't have to move the machine around a lot. If I had to paint a house I'd go rent one at Puna Rents. More power and easier to move around. I use one in the shop when building cabinets.
