Hi Kevin:
Any of the churches would be a good place to start. Try the Yellow Pages.
All the best,
Andrew

Ask Thunderfoot for the name of the Kahuna she gave to Pam. He did a great job, but I can't find his information.

Hawaiian Kapuna (elders) and Kahuna (experts). I assumed Kevin meant that he wanted a blessing for his business. A blessing ceremony is conducted by a Kahuna usually.

Actually (don't hit me! don't hit me!), there's really no such thing as
kapuna. It's
kupuna, I believe.
Here's a wonderful
Hawaiian Dictionaries website that you may (or may not) want to bookmark. It's a tremendous resource and really rather fun.

You are correct...no such thing as Kapuna. It is kupuna (grandparent, ancestor, elder). As for who performs them I would have to say maybe older people! If it is a pule (blessing/prayers you seek) I would seek and highly recommend Haleaka Iolani Pule D. (she goes by Aka). Resident of Puna and a most wonderful, fascinating, spiritual and very HAWAIIAN woman. 808-936-0738 or pele_girl@hotmail.com. Let me know what you think if you connect with her.

Lokahi and Hazen,
Thanks for taking the time to post them.
I too appreciate it when I know of them and your sharing with us here.
We have a spiriual leader here in our Ohana Kalani Clark. Got to see him a couple weeks ago and he prayed over us then.
I have one book for quite some time called 'Hawaiian Religon and Magic' by Scott Cunningham 1994
Dedicated to Mary Kawena Pukui
I think that it is out of print, know that there are many more titles, but maybe someone can reccommend your favortites for those who are looking for them?
All the best!
