yes, I should have called Jay. You can just tell he does everything well and with pride. I'm a little intimidated by how well he does things! I know I don't live up to his standards. [Smile]

Having now contacted Jay, I would like to extoll Jay's work ethic, skill, and intelligence applied to whatever he does, in combination with superior communication skills -- I have nothing but praise for him. He is a gem.

In fact, if I had enough jobs that were going to extend into the future, I probably wouldn't want to share! [Wink]

Hi Kathy,
Did the trees come down? How did the job go? Did Jay do the work for you?

I thought you would enjoy communicating with him!

Hope one day to be there and have some work for Jay also!

Yay Jay! He's a good guy and it's nice to hear good things of him.

"I like yard sales," he said. "All true survivalists like yard sales."

LOL, yeah, I didn't mean to embarrass Jay with all the praise, but darn it I'm that happy with the improvement in things.
As to the bar, I think he's up to it.

Thanks for the overly kind words. It's a little embarrassing but it's nice to be appreciated.

I think it's less a reflection on me as on others and the state of affairs that we've gotten ourselves into in most every facet of life, where no matter what the context, whether in personal or business relationships, we've come to expect a screw-job. We have learned that we can't trust other people and we're frankly completely justified in that position. This is part of the reason I crow about the need to build community--and that the core of community isn't anything but mutual trust--something we've really all shot to hell. This MUST change, and the need is more important by the day. There's something really wrong with the world if you're filled with feelings of vague dread every time you check your mail, pick up the phone, or contact your insurance company. And awful lot of people feel that way, and I don't blame them a bit.

I hope you all are following the financial news today.

Mahalo from all of us, as we are glad to hear Kathy is happy again.

Jay, How well I relate to your post, I grew up believing "my word is my bond' how things have changed! We also believed in giving people a chance, a helping hand to get back on their feet ( we have been there and know what it is like) That has backfired miserably, since many people do not have business or personal ethics and take this as a sign of weakness. The time I have been with Punaweb, gives me hope, because it has shown itself as a community that cares. We may disagree about matters at time, but rally around and support each other when the need is there.
