Kona Commons
#1
Looks like Kona Commons Mall is almost ready to go. Some shops will be open starting next month (petco, sports authority and maybe computer city). Target won't be open till sometime next year.

Like we need more junk in our life and we want to drive to Kona to get it? We are buying less and less stuff and very little of it other than food/gas is at retail prices. We are even buying less and less food at retail prices what with the hydroponics, gardens, chickens and food co-op.

On mans' junk is another mans' treasure.

Yup, that's definitely true. They also have to buy the junk/treasure someplace first so we can buy it from them at a yard sale later. There will always be someone who is willing to pay retail, I guess. As long as it isn't us, should we be disdainful of new stuff? By the time we get it from Craig's List or a yard sale the plastic smell has evaporated, too, so that's also a plus.

Circuit City is a few months from opening. Maryl Pacific Construction
only just raised the walls for the building a few weeks ago. Target
is ahead of schedule. It may open sooner than July 2009.
