Jon, when I say try them for treason, then hang them I mean every SOB currently serving in both the executive and the legislative branch. There isn't a one of them worth the cost of the rope to solve the problem.

And the president has to sign the appropriations bills and all the others with pork as attachments. How many of those has Bush vetoed? None that I know of.

Bringing this back to Hawaii, our Senator Inouye is one of the best porkers around. He seems to always be able to get slabs of lard for Oahu. He does seem to have discovered the Big Island, though. When trying to pitch the Thirty Meter Telescope, he promised scholarship money as an inducement for the Hawaiians. A lot of people questioned building the telescope, but no one questioned his ability to get the scholarship money.

Cheers,
Jerry

Re-use the rope, it'll keep the cost down!

My thought on the rope is to leave them hanging from the lamp posts on Pennsylvania Ave as an object lesson.

So very sad.. labels and partisan politics is one of the actual down falls of this nation. As you banter, a no win subject, here, the real thieves are asking for a gov. bail out. Umm.. BTW that's your money they're using to bail them out.. But hey, I'm sure that AIG and Countrywide will cut you some slack on your insurance and mortgages. Our for-fathers, had they ever even considered, would have made several small adjustmets to the Constitution and Violla we would have some control over our Country. But.. unfortunately they had no idea how corporate greed would over come capitalism. Damn Chineese figured it out and never fired a shot but us, we're still here thinking we gotta clue.. so sad. Lol.. but ya'll go a head don't let my drival stop you. Be sure and get out there and vote your party.. oh yeah it'll make a difference.. Might as well stop by Wallmart on your way home. Money runs/ruins this Country not parties, people or even... ROTFLO as I'm writing this I hear that McCain is going to wipe out greed on Wallstreet... that's the funniest freakin thing I've heard in a long time..

Dave, I am as serious as a heart attack about the trials for treason and the hanging. AIG just got 85 Billion, and no mention of any indictments for the CEO's. Bastards will probably get to keep their golden parachutes while we taxpayers get the golden shaft. I'm so angry I can't see straight, mostly because like you said the idiots that support this kind of government both in local and national politics will continue to send criminals back to Washington because they get Ear marks for us here and who cares what it does to the rest of the country.

Oh I whole heartedly agree with you, Dick, these criminal bstrds pick and choose who they want to bailout or let sink.. When I say "these" I mean both sides of the party spectrum. Other than an occaisional re election the general public has absolutly no say so in who gets OUR 85 Billion. These guys (CEOs etc..) have the golden parachute and they always seem to give themselves a 20+ million dollar raise the quarter before they go down.. I think it all comes down to who they have paid off up on "the Hill" as to whether or not they get bailed out, or not.

If the everage guy gets a little bit ahead and tries to get on board (invest) with them this is the thanks they get. I think it could be called corporate elitism. The average guy makes some mistakes and gets behind (looses job sick family member etc..) these asshles getting the bail out, with Mr."average guys" money, are the very same companies that take the "average guy" to court, get a judgement and attach to his property. Oh BTW, Congress passed a bill that now keeps "average guy" from being able to declare bank ruptcy.. That legislation was ran through and passed, by baby Bush, and these very sht head corporations that now need to be bailed out themselves..

Of course this is different than the guy that gets over his head on a home loan. And even if it is the guy that gets upside down on the home loan (which btw is where all the bad paper is right now) these companies and their over zealous, greedy, lending practices, are the very same ones that put the guy in the loan.. Now they need a fckn bail out???

Next rant.. please step up on the soap box and adjust the microphone,
